Togetherness | Season of Motherhood

Both of you have been thick as thieves since the day your brother arrived. I can remember how we placed him in your arms the first time you met him in the hospital. You had brought a toy car with you and you started to show it to him, and immediately we knew how much fun you will both have growing up together.

Lately the closeness of your bonds have been tested though. There have been more arguments and physical fights resulting in tears. We do our best not to intervene, hoping things will soon work out or calm down in its own way, but more often than not these days, we have to create some separation between both of you. If only for a while until the storm clouds begins to settle, then it’s back to the giggles and noisy chatter of scheming over the toys and games that you both play together.

It’s a constant rollercoaster of emotions, but as painful and exhausting as it is to feel them all, there is also an undeniable togetherness in the comfort you bring to each other. And it’s a beautiful thing to document and witness.
