A sip of tea. The smell of freshly-baked cake coming out of the oven. Watching your baby smile. And the cheerful sounds coming from some rambunctious games in the garden.

These are just some of life’s simple pleasures that bring joy to a moment in your day. Moments to be remembered and celebrated.

Then again. I know. Life is busy. We don’t have time to stop, absorb and appreciate. There’s always a list of things to do - work, laundry, homework, cooking meals, bath and laundry (did I already mention this?). And sometimes we’re waiting for the kids to go to bed, so then we can have a moment’s silence to collect our thoughts before thinking over the things that needs doing the next day.

It’s like life gets stuck on repeat. Am I right?

But it’s ok. It’s possible to hold onto the simple pleasures and meaningfully see that all along those little things were in the big things we had to do and make.
